Telecommunications service providers and suppliers are faced with industry-specific quality management issues that impact their customer relationships and business performance. To address these specific needs, the Quality Excellence for Suppliers of Telecommunications QuEST Forum (a group including Bell Atlantic, BellSouth, Pacific Bell and Southwestern Bell) developed the standard TL9000. Based on the internationally recognized standard for quality management,
ISO 9001:2000, TL9000 adds requirements to help telecommunications companies continually improve their customer service, establish uniform performance and cost-based measurements, and increase competitiveness throughout the industry. TL9000 is also a valuable tool for telecommunications companies to understand how they measure up to industry performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
NEBS (Network
Equipment Building System) testing is a requirement for telecom equipment to be deployed in central office facilities, customer premises and outside plant facilities. Telecom service providers require the tests to ensure network integrity and continuous operation of the network. The standards most commonly required are the Telcordia GR-1089 CORE and GR-63 CORE. Bureau Veritas in Massachusetts offers knowledgeable testing to these standards for all U.S. telecom service providers.
Bureau Veritas is registered with the FCC and ISO/IEC 17025 accredited via A2LA to provide complete telecommunications testing and certification through our in-house Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB). Canada's IC has approved Bureau Veritas for testing to the CS-03 standard for all regulated interface types, both analog and digital. Bureau Veritas has the knowledgeable professionals and equipment to conduct efficient
regulatory compliance testing on your product whether from a PBX containing voice and T1 port, a primary and basic rate ISDN, or an analog or xDSL modem.
