Inspections, Audits and Testing for Construction Products

European regulations compliance opens the door to key markets

Construction Product Compliance Challenge

All construction products – to be incorporated in a permanent manner in any kind of construction work –, have to meet requirements of the European Union’s 89/106 Construction Product Directive and corresponding harmonized standards, and be CE Marked

The process for being able to apply for CE Marking varies according to the product and to its intended use in the construction work.

The main actors involved in this process are the manufacturer and an independent notify body; their respective tasks are defined in the standards published by the European Community administration.
