The eighteenth amendment to the Regulation of the German Ordinance on Commodities (BGVO) was published in the Federal Gazette (Bundesgesetzblatt) 13 August 2010 and came into effect on 14 August 2010. This regulation limits the level of Chromium (VI) in materials made of leather that are intended to come into prolonged contact with the human body.
