In South East Asia, Bureau Veritas originates back in 1973 when the Singapore office was set-up. From that first outfit it dramatically grew into a large operation consisting of more than 700 employees in six countries, across 19 offices, in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brunei and more recently Myanmar.
Bureau Veritas South East Asia has increased its presence in the fields of marine, commodities, consumer products and government services, thereby achieving a balanced portfolio of businesses and benefiting from a growing international trade and commodities boom in the region.
Within its Industry & Facilities Division, Bureau Veritas South East Asia, with its team of 400 employees, has been pursuing an aggressive strategy based on both organic and external growth. As a result it has expanded its business into key segments such as: oil and gas both offshore and onshore, chemical and petrochemical, power and utilities, renewable energies, transportation and manufacturing, construction of residential, commercial and industrial facilities.
Bureau Veritas South East Asia has developed a comprehensive portfolio of services to address clients’ needs in the industrial markets with Asset Integrity Management and Quality Assurance, Quality Control all along the lifecycle of industrial assets and equipment (CAPEX & OPEX), as well as in in the Construction industry with Supervision and Assessment of buildings and infrastructures projects with safety and quality standards throughout the life cycle. It complements its offering with Certification of management systems in the area of QHSE and second party auditing services.
