Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (BVCPS) is pleased to announce the grand opening of its expanded footwear laboratory in Wenzhou, China. The new laboratory is considered as the first international third-party laboratory set up in Wenzhou that offers comprehensive physical and analytical footwear testing and quality assurance services for the vendors in Wenzhou and nearby areas in Zhejiang Province, China.

With over 1,500 square meters in size, the spacious facility is staffed with a team of experienced technical specialists and equipped with the most up-to-date equipment to provide a full range of footwear testing services which are aligned to global standards. The laboratory location is in close proximity to manufacturers, with free sample pick-up availability in the Wenzhou area as well as emergency and rush services for faster turn-around time. Vendors can enjoy convenient one-stop testing service locally and are able to meet buyers’ needs for quality and speed-to-market.

The laboratory aims to assist manufacturers and companies in the industry with meeting the necessary compliance requirements for safety and quality by offering comprehensive testing solutions for footwear products, including materials and finished products. These services include:
• Physical Testing: full capability for regular testing, including Slip Resistance and Safety Testing (e.g. small parts)
• Analytical Testing: full capability for lead, phthalates, azo dye, DMFa, DMFu, cadmium, etc.
• Assessments services for regulatory and safety compliance
• Technical support Services including protocol development, tailor-made seminars and training
