The 10th version of The American Apparel and Footwear Association (AAFA) restricted substances list (RSL) has been published. Updates in this version include the addition of 18 chemicals to appendix I, which lists chemicals that are associated with reporting laws, as well as other minor administrative changes. The practical quantification limits (PQL) defined in a guidance document issued by Washington State for their Children’s Safe Product Act reporting law have also been added to appendix I. A complete list of the updates is included at the end of the RSL.
The 10th version of the AAFA RSL is currently available in English, Vietnamese, Chinese and Spanish on the AAFA website: https://www.wewear.org/industry-resources/restricted-substances-list/
