Bulletin Summary      Bureau Veritas is pleased to announce that it has expanded ISTA 3A and 4AB testing capabilities at three of its Asia laboratories (Shanghai, Shenzhen and Vietnam). The enhanced testing services come as a result of growing client demand for transit testing services and the continued commitment of Bureau Veritas to support its clients.    Bureau Veritas has 15 laboratories certified globally by ISTA, offering more certified locations than any other commercial laboratory in the world. We also have a network of ISTA certified technicians to help meet your transit testing needs. The International Safe Transit Association (ISTA) is the leading international organization dedicated to improving packaging methods and developing specifications for the testing of packaged products.

About ISTA 3A Testing
ISTA 3A is a general simulation test that is designed to replicate damage-producing forces that packages may sustain during transport. Companies looking for advanced testing capabilities and the ability to simulate environmental occurrences during transport are using ISTA 3A testing. While the most common industry tests used today are still ISTA 1A/1B, these tests are not designed to simulate environmental conditions and are most useful as screening tests. About ISTA 4AB Testing
ISTA 4AB represents enhanced simulation testing. The 4 series testing takes the 3 series general simulation testing and adds at least one element of focused simulation, such as a test sequence or condition linked to actual known distribution of the product being tested. 4AB includes a software program formed around a broad range of current and quantitative information on distribution environment hazards.  Customized test plans are developed for each sample.

Expanded ISTA Testing Capabilities

Shenzhen: Just received ISTA Certification for Procedure 4AB. Our Shenzhen laboratory is one of only three labs in Asia with ISTA 4AB certification.
