New EU Regulation Implementing ErP Directive 2009/125/EC for water pumps n° 547/2012
On 25 June 2012 the European Commission adopted Regulation (EU) n° 547/2012
implementing Directive 2009/125/EC with regard to ecodesign requirements for water pumps. This Regulation sets out efficiency requirements and product information requirements. It enters into force on 16 July 2012 and shall apply from 1 January 2013.
Scope Regulation (EU) n° 547/2012 establishes ecodesign requirements for rotodynamic water pumps for pumping clean water, including where integrated in other products. Water pumps can have different designs as follows:
