IECQ HSPM Certification

HSPM certification through the International Electro-technical Commission (IECQ) provides companies with an internationally recognized certification process, which demonstrates their ability to control and manage their complete supply chain in order to manufacture HSF products or assemblies.

Bureau Veritas LCIE was selected as one of four companies to take part in the pilot program for HSPM in April 2005, and subsequently became the first company to issue an IECQ HSPM certificate in France.

Gap Analysis
There are no definitive rules regarding the preparation for HSPM certification. Some companies take the approach that they have sufficiently mature processes and available manpower to undertake the entire preparation in-house. How does IECQ HSPM certification work with my ISO 9000 accreditation?
IECQ HSPM certification is intended to work with existing quality management systems such as ISO 9000. Certification can demonstrate to regulators and customers that a manufacturer's processes are free of hazardous materials, or that the hazardous substances used are properly controlled and that fact is communicated to users of the product.

Is IECQ HSPM certification successfully employed around the world?
