VeriStar Hull for your offshore structures

Large and complex offshore structures such as FPSOs and FLNGs are pushing the frontiers of engineering knowledge, yet are expected to have a life span of more than twenty years in harsh environment.

VeriStar Hull is a powerful, finite element calculation tool that perform structural analysis of 3D models. It includes user-friendly features for fast and efficient modeling and result assessment.

Homer for Hydro-Structure Calculations

Homer is Bureau Veritas' software for direct hydro-structure interaction calculations.

It is based on the full coupling of the 3D seakeeping software HydroSTAR and general 3D finite element structural codes (NX Nastran, MSC Nastran, ANSYS).

Homer may be used for many different applications: extreme load cases for 3D FEM yielding and buckling calculations; 3D FEM full spectral fatigue assessment and powerful statistical post-processing.

Homer handles all types of structure from ship type to round shape through specific forms such as Spars, Semis, TLPs…

NSO (New STRUDL Offshore)

New STRUDL Offshore (NSO) software is a general tool for finite element analysis, with dedicated features for the analyzing of offshore and marine structures.

NSO brings user-friendly means for computing wave loads, earthquake spectrum, and piles in soil. 

It quickly enables the assessment of code checks (API, AISC, ISO, etc.) of structural components and fatigue damages. 

With its static/dynamic solvers, all the linear/nonlinear analyses can be performed to assess the design of both floating and fixed structures (jacket, jack-up, hull and topsides).

Mars for Classification of Offshore Units => Free Download

MARS is a 2D rule verification software which applies Bureau Veritas Rules in general and Rules for the Classification of Offshore Units in particular.

It covers longitudinal strength, ultimate vertical bending moment capacity and local scantlings verification of longitudinal plates and stiffeners, plating and stiffeners of transverse bulkheads.

Rule deterministic fatigue can be performed for connections of longitudinal stiffeners with ordinary frames and transverse bulkheads.

All possible phases from an offshore unit life can be covered (trading, transit, offshore service based on site conditions). 

Mars can also be used to perform 2D spectral fatigue analysis as an alternative to deterministic fatigue analysis.

It is necessary to have accurate knowledge of the behavior of the unit's behavior during all kind of wave events.

Each unit, depending on its shape and mass distribution, will have its own behavior at sea, which will interact with various related effects, like motions in tanks, structural strength, and coupling with other units.
