A RANGE OF ADAPTED SERVICES

CLASSIFICATION

Classification is a quality assessment that focuses on a vessel’s construction and technical maintenance throughout its lifespan.

Classification includes:

- Elaboration of the rules for classification,
- Drawing and calculation reviews, in addition to surveys, inspections and trials to confirm that the vessel is in compliance with the rules,
- Assignment of class and issuing of classification certificates,
- Intermediate, occasional and class renewal surveys.

The classification rules are intended to protect the vessel as an item of property. They focus on the vessel’s vital areas, in particular the structural strength of its hull and the reliability of its machinery and equipment.

Classification therefore plays an essential role in the prevention of accidents and the protection of the environment. Classification is summarized by assigned notation.

We grant additional Class notation on case basis which include but not limited to:

- POSA: Units provided with position anchoring equipment complying with the relevant rules,
- COMF: Comfort notation for the accommodation,
- ALM: Service crane & Other lifting appliances,
- HEL: Units fitted with helicopter facilities which comply with the IMO MODCU Code and Civil Aviation Publications,
- VERISTAR-HULL: Units with its structural condition checked with 3D FEM calculation programme,
- DYNAPOS: Units equipped with dynamic positioning system.
