Bureau Veritas commenced operations in Brunei since February 1989, with a main office located at Kuala Belait, and a site office located at BSP, Seria. Bureau Veritas Brunei has established itself as one of the leading classification societies, third party verification / Certification Company and training service provider for various industries such as Oil &  Gas, Marine, Construction, Food and Service Industries in Brunei.

A Muara branch office was opened in the beginning of January 1996 to cater for Marine business growth. On 1st May 2010, the Muara branch office relocated to Kiulap, Bandar Seri Begawan supported by Qualified Locals and Technical teams which enable Bureau Veritas Brunei to provide expansion and growth.
