Aviation Fuel (AVTUR) Testing
Testing of gasoline for use in propeller aircraft using internal combustion, spark ignition engines.
Aviation gasoline is tested by Inspectorate to ASTM standard D910 which deals with gasolines including Avgas 100,100LL and 82 UL in propeller driven aircraft.
Highly experienced laboratory staff across the globe undertake the full range of testing in accordance with ASTM including:
- Aviation lean rating
- Tetraethyl lead
- Vapour Pressure
- Distillation
- Freezing point
- Oxidation stability (gum potential and lead precipitate)
Additionally Inspectorate will test for Super-charge octane performance in accordance with ASTM D-909.
Testing services include analysis of stored fuel and its condition to ensure that there has been no contamination or degradation of material.
